I'm Glyn Collinson. I am a space scientist by trade, and also an amateur singer-songwriter. Anybody interested in the space part of my life can come along to my talk tomorrow, but today I'm going to focus on this wooden thing that's hung around my neck. Long time Hackers attendee Kirk McKusick and I have taken a number of epic adventures together over the years, most recently spending two summers driving around Australia. If you'll indulge us, we'd like to share with you a couple of stories from the Australian Outback.
The first comes from a small town called Winton. Winton has three claims to fame.
