4.4BSD Daemon

This version of the daemon was commissioned
for 4.4BSD. It appears on the cover of the 4.4BSD manuals
produced jointly by Usenix and O'Reilly, on the 4.4BSD-Lite
CDROM sold by Walnut Creek CDROM, and
on the cover of the book, The Design and
Implementation of the 4.4BSD Operating System. There was
a limited printing of approximately 100 shirts that had
only the artwork (no text under it) that were made available
to the people who helped in the production of the 4.4BSD manuals
and book. This shirt is currently
available for sale
with the text ``May the Source Be with You''
under the art (as shown in the second picture).
A stitched version of the 4.4 daemon (as shown in the third
picture) was produced in 1997 and is also
available for sale.
