FreeBSD Kernel Internals: An Intensive Code Walkthrough Class Enrollment Form

The class will be held at the historic Hillside Club at 2286 Cedar Street, Berkeley, CA 94709 just three blocks north of the Berkeley campus once per week from 6:30PM to 10:00PM starting Thursday January 21st and finishing on Thursday May 19th.


This class will be video taped and sold to the general public on DVD. By checking the box below, you consent to the video taping and sale of the class lectures and to have any questions that you ask during the class recorded and answered on the publically sold versions of the class. Your consent is required to enroll in the class.

Enrolled students will be notified when the source CD-ROM image is ready to be downloaded (about a week before class begins).


Students may optionally purchase a copy of the class video either for download or on DVD. Videos on DVD will be provided in class each week for the previous week's class. The final class video on DVD will be mailed. Please note that videos on DVD will have California sales tax added to their cost. When ordering either download or physical media, please select your preferred format. Please note that these videos are for your personal use only.

Before ordering the download service, please verify that you can download, decrypt, and view downloaded videos by going to our download test area and following the instructions there in the ReadMe.txt file on downloading, decrypting, and viewing the test video.

$300.00 DVD-R in standard-DVD format. This format will play in most consumer DVD players (check here to see if your DVD player can show write-once DVDs). It has the lowest picture quality.

$300.00 Quicktime-Movie file on DVD-R. The Quicktime movie has a higher quality picture than the DVD-R in standard-DVD format, but only plays on a computer that can show Quicktime movies.

$375.00 DVD+R dual-layer in standard-DVD format. This format has the highest quality picture. It will play on most computer DVD drives (certainly on Apple computers) but will not play on many consumer decks. It also includes a scene-selection index to each of the topics being discussed.


Please note that I offer a 25% discount to people that can make a plausible hardship case and a 50% discount to full-time students and FreeBSD committers. You may also elect to pay in installments.
